Noureddine Wenger

Noureddine Wenger is a PhD candidate and assistant at the Institute for European Global Studies of the University of Basel, Switzerland. His research deals with the diverse perceptions and representations of Europe as articulated in Arab academic and intellectual discourses of the past and the present day. For his dissertation project, he focuses on the scholarly engagement and the different stances adopted by Arab intellectuals towards postmodernism and examines the ways in which this has affected intellectual debates and scholarly networks in the region since the 1980s.
