Biographie
Lisa Indraccolo is Associate Professor of Chinese Studies at Tallinn University (2020–). She earned her Ph.D. (2010) from Ca’ Foscari University, Venice, with a thesis on the early Chinese “sophistic” persuader Gōngsūn Lóng. She has gained several years of research experience at the University of Zurich, where she was appointed as postdoc researcher and also actively participated in the activity of the interdisciplinary cluster URPP “Asia and Europe.” Her main research interests include early Chinese thought, with focus on “Masters texts” (zǐshū) and Warring States (475–221 B.C.) philosophical literature; Classical Chinese rhetoric, paradoxes and language jokes; early Confucian political and moral thought; structural and rhetorical patterns of early Chinese texts; conceptual and intellectual history of premodern China, also from a comparative perspective; and cross-cultural encounters between China and Japan. She is also and affiliated member of the Zurich Center for the Study of the Ancient World, UZH.
